The Horizon SL-2 Straightline has every feature that the SL-1 Passive Direct Box offers plus a -20 db pad switch so you can plug any instrument or most "hotter" line level sources into it. If the signal that the mixer console receives is overdriven, simply flip the -20 db pad switch and it will lower the signal level down to a usable level.
